02/25/2021 – The Lady Rams are ready to return the field that was taken away from them last year. The Rams will return a big group of kids from the team they had last year. They will open the regular season on Tuesday, March 2nd at 6 pm.  The Rams will host Bixby in the opening game of the season.  The Lady Rams and Bixby put on an offensive display last year in which the Rams came out with a 5-3 win.

The Lady Rams are returning a lot of players from the previous year. They started off great last year and then the OSSAA canceled the remainder of their season. The Rams will look for a lot of leadership from a returning group of 9 seniors. 

The biggest concern is the lack of practice and playing time the Lady Rams have been missing this year due to a lot of factors that they can’t control. I think we will start off the year a little slower than normal but what else can you expect. The fact of losing practice time and the fact we have several kids who have missed out on an entire year of soccer due to Covid. I really like this group overall but we still have not proved anything yet but I think as the year goes on, we have a chance to be a really good team when it matters.

Unfortunately, the schedule is pretty light this year due to several reasons. We have lost a few games and our only tournament due to our travel restrictions. This is the second year we were scheduled to compete in a National Tournament in Gulf Shores Alabama and have missed out on a great opportunity.  So hopefully we can get the experience we need in practice. 

I do know our kids are very excited about returning to the field and that is a great thing. They would appreciate all the support they can get and deserve.
