Lightning Strike Results in Loss of Owasso Home

An Owasso family is salvaging what they can after their home was destroyed by fire,  after a lightning strike early Saturday morning.  

At approximately 2:30 a.m., Owasso Fire was called to a home in the Elm Creek Housing Addition, in the area of 7700  North 126th East Avenue. 

When Owasso Firefighters arrived, flames were coming through the roof of the home. The residents along with their pets had evacuated safely before OFD arrived.

OFD reports the house to be a total loss.
