From BCAP:
BCAP needs your help for our patients during the holidays!
Christmas will be here soon and we wanted to make you aware of a need right here in your community. BCAP (Breast Cancer Assistance Program) is a local organization that serves families in the Tulsa Metro area and in 17 surrounding northeast Oklahoma counties. We help breast cancer patients with rent or mortgage and utilities when there is a need, while they are going through treatment for breast cancer.
Each year at Christmas, with help from our volunteers and supporters, BCAP continues to support the patients we have served during the year with a basket filled with items for a Christmas meal and, if possible, some small gifts for each family member. We would like to continue this tradition and here’s how you can help:
Adopt a basket (similar to Angel Tree): A person, group of people or company can select a patient from the list. We provide you with a list of suggested items that we have incorporated into previous baskets depending on the family size. Each basket will average around $100. However, there is no limit, so if you or your group decide to add to the basket (for example toys for a family with children or gifts for the adults), that is great! We also ask that you plan on delivering the basket to your family.
Around the first of November, we will email you a list of profiles of our patients. (For example, single patient home; patient and spouse; patient, spouse and one child; patient, spouse, multiple children.) Due to HIPPA regulations upon patient approval, we will provide you with the patient address prior to delivery.
Our goal is to have all baskets delivered to patients by Saturday, December 17.
