Due to the upcoming unpredictable weather, changes have been made to the audition schedule for The Sound of Music Auditions.
The Owasso Performing Arts Departments will be hosting auditions for their upcoming production of the Sound of Music on Friday, December 13 from 3:00 to 5:00 pm for students in Kindergarten through 8th Grades at Owasso High School. Elementary students may come after they have been dismissed from school. Please come to the Main Choir Room. Call-backs (round 2) of K-8 auditions will be Saturday, December 14 at 8:30 am.
Important information for Parents is available online. There will be a waiver form for parents to sign indicating that they have received the information. The student will turn this in with their audition application at the audition.
Auditions for students in grades 9-12 will be after school on Wednesday, December 11 beginning at 2:30. Call-backs will be December 12 beginning at 2:30.
Performance dates will be February 27, 28, and March 1, 2014 at 7:00 pm. It is vital that all students auditioning understand the commitment required of them throughout the process. The audition form is a contract between production staff and each student; therefore, all information must be complete and accurate. Please download the rehearsal calendar and audition application. Fill out the application to the best of your ability before attending the parent meeting. Use the calendar to fill out the conflict section of the application. Students in grades K-8 need to come to the audition prepared to sing a one-minute song acapella that demonstrates their performance skills.
