Question:

I’ve been steadily gaining weight since the onset of menopause.  In addition to diet and exercise, are there any dietary supplements that might help keep my weight under control?

 

Answer:

Unfortunately, there is no silver bullet.  You should check with your primary care physician to make sure your thyroid is functioning properly, as that can be a cause of weight gain.  Your metabolism will inevitably slow down as you get older, so lifestyle modification is the best way to manage your weight.
