Just before 5am this morning, Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Owasso Medics were dispatched to an accident call on 106th Street North near 161st East Ave.OHP reports that Clark VanPelt, 24 of Owasso, died in the single vehicle crash. VanPelt was a 2008 graduate of Owasso High School.
The Lexus he was driving was eastbound on 106th Street North when he lost control, slid off the road hitting a fence and then a tree. The driver was partially ejected.
Roadway was reported icy at the time of the accident.
