Owasso Rams Baseball Coach, Larry Turner, has been named National High School Baseball Coach of the Year by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS).
The Rams reached the 6A State Tournament in 2013 for the sixteenth time in seventeen years. Fifteen of those years we played in the finals, winning nine State Championships, including last year, finishing with a perfect 36-0 record. The Rams were ranked second nationally. Coach Turner has served as Owasso’s coach for more than 31 years.
Nomination factors include: coach’s record, membership in and affiliation with coaching and other professional organizations, involvement with other school and community activities and programs, and coaching philosophy.
