Marc Anthony Owen McGill, resident of Bixby, died Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. He was 56 years of age. Marc was born August 4, 1957 in Tulsa to Gayle Edwin and Virginia Lee (Lackey) McGill. He was raised and received his education in Tulsa, graduating Will Rogers High School. Marc was a practicing commercial/industrial electrician and a member of the IBEW Local 584; he was also a member of the Boston Avenue Methodist Church in Tulsa. In his spare time, Marc enjoyed fishing and playing darts.
Those who survive include his mother – Virginia McGill of Owasso; two children Kristen Orr and husband Brian of Sapulpa, OK, Travis McGill and wife Carlee of Bluffton, South Carolina; two brothers Michael (Mike) McGill of Cincinnati, Ohio and Patrick McGill and wife Amybeth of Bixby, OK. Also surviving are three grandchildren Claira Belle McGill, Lewis Braden McGill and Nash Ryder Orr. He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation for Marc will be from 2pm – 6pm on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral services will be Monday, January 20th at 2:00 pm in the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel in Tulsa with Dr. Bill Tankersley of Boston Ave. Methodist Church officiating.
