The 62nd Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy began Monday, January 27th in Oklahoma City. Forty-eight new cadets were scheduled to report to the Robert Lester Training Center located at 36th Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard, to start a rigorous twenty week law enforcement training program. Members of the media were invited to attend cadet orientation at 8:30 AM in the lobby of the Lester Training Center. There was an opportunity for taped interviews facilitated by OHP Public Information Officer LT Brian Orr.
