Question:
Both of my children were breech at the time of delivery. I’m now expecting my third child and wonder if I’m more likely to have a breech baby or if that was just a coincidence.
Answer:
Breech babies are more common in a mother with an abnormally shaped uterus. If there is a septum or dividing wall inside the uterus, or if the uterus is very tiny, then the baby does not have as much room to get into the “head down” position. Premature babies are also more likely to be breech. If you have already had two breech babies, your third may be breech as well.
