Diana Ross returns to Tulsa on April 24
Legendary singer coming back to The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa
TULSA, Okla. – One year after wowing a capacity crowd at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, legendary singer Diana Ross is returning to the venue on April 24.
Tickets start at $70 and go on sale March 6.
Since launching her career as a member of the Supremes in 1959, Ross has been a chart-topping mainstay as lead singer of the group and as a solo performer. Her work has sold more than 100 million records and earned her seven American Music Awards and a 2012 Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award. In 1993, the “Guinness Book of World Records” named her the most successful female music artist in history due to her success in the U.S. and the United Kingdom.
From 1962 to 1969, the Supremes released 18 studio albums and 12 No. 1 singles, including “Where Did Our Love Go,” “Baby Love,” “Stop! In the Name of Love” and “Someday We’ll Be Together.” In 1988, the Supremes were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
As a solo performer beginning in 1970, Ross has released 24 studio albums and numerous compilations that have sold more than 100 million copies. Seventeen of her albums reached the Billboard Top 40, with four breaking into the Top 10 and one topping the chart.
The Detroit native has released 90 singles, including the smash hits “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough,” “Touch Me in the Morning,” “Love Hangover,” “Upside Down” and the Lionel Richie duet “Endless Love.”
Ross is also an accomplished actress, earning a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination for her role as Billie Holiday in “Lady Sings the Blues.” She earned a Tony Award in 1977 for her one-woman show, “An Evening with Diana Ross.”
