Wilma Hinds was born October 18, 1935, in Verdigris, Oklahoma, to Ed and Florence (Honaker) Oneal. She died Sunday, March 9, 2014, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 78. Wilma completed her secondary education at Catoosa, Oklahoma, and graduated with the Catoosa High School Class of 1953. During that time, she played basketball and received several honors. She continued playing post-graduation in independent leagues. Wilma spent much of her working life in a variety of positions as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed pastimes such as caring and loving her animals and spending time reading.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Graveside services will be held 11:00 Wednesday, March 12, 2014, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Claremore with Steve Mowery officiating. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Tulsa S.P.C.A., 2910 Mohawk Boulevard, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74110. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
