Monty Arlo Iseley, formerly of Collinsville, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Tulsa at the age of 72 years. Monty was born July 5, 1941 in Tulsa, OK to Robert Royce and Dorothea Rosetta (Watson) Iseley. He was raised mostly in Tulsa, graduating Thomas A. Edison High School in 1959. On December 24, 1960, he and Jean Leonard were united in marriage. To this union, four children were born. He was later married to Barbara, and she preceded him in death. Monty started working with his father to become an electrician. Although he based out of Tulsa, Monty worked on several commercial and industrial projects around the United States. He was a member of the IBEW Local 584 union.
Those that survive include his children – Monty Keith Iseley and wife Juanita of Snellville, GA, Kimberly Sklenar of Owasso, David Alan Iseley and wife Kimberly of Houston, TX and Angela Iseley of Healdton, OK; and his grandchildren – Jill Sklenar of Jenks, OK, Robert Iseley of Snellville, GA, Tabitha Bumpass of Virginia Beach, VA, and Hannah and McKenna Iseley, both of Houston, TX. Also surviving are three great grandchildren Jazmyne Iseley of Snellville and Tesslyn & Levi Bumpass of Virginia Beach. Besides his wife, Monty was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren Regina Iseley and Adam Sklenar.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Thursday evening, March 20, 2014 from 6pm – 8pm at Mowery Funeral Service, Owasso. Private burial will take place on Friday, March 21st at the Cherokee City Cemetery, near Weir, Kansas.
