Owasso’s Tai Chi group, who meet regularly on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the Community Center, will be at the Gazebo at Rayola Park on Saturday, April 26. At 11 am they will demonstrate the art of Tai Chi. According to the Centers for Disease Control and the State of Oklahoma the best way to prevent falls is with activities that build muscle strength in the legs and enhance balance. Tai Chi is one form of exercise that can help develop balance, body awareness and confidence.
Research suggests that people who participate in Tai Chi classes cut their risk of falling by nearly half. The group invites you to their demonstration on Saturday at Rayola Park at 11 am in celebration of World Tai Chi Day and welcomes you to join their group at the Community Center weekly.
Call the Community Center at 918-272-3903 to inquire.
