Shellie Kay Pace was born June 8, 1965, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to William Stephen and Carolyn Kay Nichols. She died Thursday, May 22, 2014, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 48 years. Shellie was reared and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the Nathan Hale High School Class of1983, she was married January 17, 1989, in Dallas, Texas, to Kent Pace. They had made their home in Owasso since moving there in July of 1995. Shellie spent most of her working life as homemaker and caring for her family. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and watching them play their sports. She also enjoyed collecting Precious Moment figurines. Shellie was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church in Owasso where she was active with her Crossing Ladies group, singing in the choir, and teaching in children’s church.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Baskins, and sister-in-law, Pam Baskins.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Central Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Scott Carlson officiating. Committal services and interment will be held at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Central Baptist Church-VBS, 9001 North 145th East Avenue, Owasso, Oklahoma, 74055. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
