When the Owasso Golden Agers began a fundraising campaign earlier this year to support the adult program at the Owasso Community Center, Modern Woodmen of America gallantly committed to match dollar for dollar up to $2500, whatever was raised.
Jennifer Kirby, Director of the Community Center partnered once again with Tim & Patty Rich of McDonalds to offer fundraiser coupon books to the community. Linda Rainwater coordinated the sale of the books. Additional activities included a Silent Auction coordinated by Louise Ramos Lehman, who worked tirelessly with many volunteers and program participants. Book sales and a raffle also helped to raise a grand total of $5,795.65.
A huge thank you is extended to the community and Center participants for their help in reaching this goal that will improve the quality of life for all the community.
