Joseph Lynn Stiner was born August 5, 1959, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Roy E. and JoAnn (Rogers) Stiner. He died August 23, 2014, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 55 years. Joe was reared and educated in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and graduated with the East Central High School Class of 1977. He spent much of his working life as co-owner of Jo Joe’s Everything Animals in Owasso. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including caring for and grooming dogs, and especially loved his dogs. He also enjoyed smoking a good cigar. He was talented at fixing and tinkering with cars and motorcycles, and riding his motorcycle.
Loving family members include: Mother; JoAnn Thomas, of the home Father; Roy Stiner and his wife Melba, of Owasso Step-brother; Ken Thomas and his wife Phyllis, of Owasso Two nephews; Steven Thomas Dr. Jeremy Thomas and his wife Tammy, all of Owasso Two sisters; Pamela Grosze and her husband Mitch, of Wylie, Texas Jill Stiner, of Owasso Girlfriend; Ragana Morris, her son, James Morris, And her granddaughter, Raven Morris And a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 27, 2014, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Ben Killion officiating. Committal services and interment followed at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Tulsa SPCA, 2910 Mohawk Boulevard, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74110, or the John 3:16 Mission, 205 East Pine Street, Suite 103, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74106, attn.; Development Department.
