In late August through the first half of September, Dry Cleaning Station partnered with Soma Intimates of Woodland Hills mall to collect new and gently used bras for the National Center to End Domestic Violence. The Owasso store collected 237 bras, all donated by their generous customers and Dry Cleaning Station employees. Debra Clary, manager of the local Soma store, said that, “Bras are one of the items most needed by domestic abuse shelters and the least donated.” Often, a person escaping domestic violence get away wearing only the clothes on their backs.
Every year, the Soma sponsors a drive to collect bras for the National Center to End Domestic Violence from mid-August to mid-September. Dry Cleaning Station owners, Tom and Barbara Keenze, are planning to make the partnership with Soma an annual event.
Dry Cleaning Station will be partnering with Owasso Community Resources again this year for the annual Thanksgiving basket food drive and the Christmas Giving Tree.
