Marion Farmer Hardy was born February 28, 1925, in Conyers, Georgia, to Olear Clyde and Minnie (Cooper) Hardy. She died February 6, 2015, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years. Marion was married May 23, 1943, in Millstead, Georgia, to James Benjamin Hardy. She spent much of her working life a homemaker and caring for her family. She also spent time as a hospital volunteer. James and Mary had made their home in Owasso since 1990. She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church in Owasso. She enjoyed spending time working in her yard, especially her flower garden.
Loving family members include: Two sons and daughters-in-law; James “Bill” and Pat Hardy, of Owasso Kenneth and Nancy Hardy, of Folsom, California Three grandchildren; Michael Smith and his wife Liz Benjamin Hardy and his wife Sandy Courtney Hardy One great grandson; Liam Christopher Hardy She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, and one sister.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a wake service at 6:00 Monday, February 09, 2015, both at Mowery Funeral Service. Serving as officiating minister will be Pastor Chuck Horton. Committal services and interment will follow at a later date at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
