Sondra Kay Huckaby, resident of Owasso passed from this life on Sunday, April 19, 2015, at her home. She was 50 years of age. Sondra was born January 9, 1965, at Dodge City, Kansas, to Lee R. and Linda Kay (Brown) Hooper. At an early age, her family moved first to Wichita, Kansas, and later to Oklahoma, settling near Bristow. She graduated from Olive High School with the class of 1983. Sondra later obtained her associate’s degree in accounting. On August 4, 1988, she was united in marriage to William (Biff) Huckaby at Gatlinburg, Tennessee. To this union, two daughters were born. Because of Biff’s employment, they resided in various locations before making Owasso home in 1999. Sondra was a secretary at the Owasso 8th Grade Center. Sondra loved her family and enjoyed spending time and doing things with her girls and also boating at Skiatook Lake.
Those that survive and are blessed with many memories are her husband, Biff; daughters Cami and Kaycie; her mother Linda Hooper of Sapulpa, Oklahoma; and two siblings, Timmy Hooper of Tulsa and Marsha Turner and husband Robb of Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her father.
Memorial services for Sondra will be held at 4:00 p.m., Thursday, April 23, 2015, in the sanctuary of Central Baptist Church, Owasso with Reverend Bob Haywood officiating. Burial will be at a later date in the Green Acres Memorial Gardens Cemetery, rural Owasso. Those that would like to honor Sondra’s memory may do so by contributing to the Susan G.
