Faye Rikkola, longtime resident of Owasso, was born March 30, 1943, in Meridian, Mississippi, to Guy Jones and Rosalie (Bunyard) McLelland. She died Saturday, April 25, 2015, in Owasso at the age of 72 years. Faye was born and raised in Meridian and was a graduate of Meridian High School. She continued her education attending Meridian Junior College. She was married June 30, 1963, at the Assembly of God in Meridian to Tom Rikkola. Faye spent most of her working life as a homemaker and caring for her family. She was a member of Epsilon Sigma Alpha, a philanthropic sorority. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes including painting, arts and crafts, as well as time spent traveling. Faye had an infectious laugh and was a joy to be around spending time with friends and family.

Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, 2015, at Mowery Funeral Services Chapel in Owasso, Oklahoma, with Pastor Chuck Horton officiating. A private committal service and interment followed at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Memorial contributions should be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. In honor of Faye, the family requests that everyone go out and take an art class. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
