Shane Farley, local resident of Owasso, was born July 26, 1973, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Larry Joe and Neva Jewell (Stubblefield) Farley. He died Monday, April 27, 2015, in Owasso at the age of 41 years. Shane completed his secondary education in Owasso and graduated with the Owasso High School Class of 1991. He continued his education attending Northeastern Oklahoma A & M Junior College in Miami, Oklahoma. Shane pursued a career in music in Nashville and had actually compiled demos for Sony records. He returned to Oklahoma and was married June 3, 2000, in Owasso to Jennifer Kight. He was currently working as a project manager with Matrix Service in Tulsa. He had attended Central Baptist Church in Owasso where he had served as interim music director, but most recently attended Life Church. Shane was a very accomplished singer and musician and could play most any instrument, especially the guitar. Spending time with his family was most important and being involved with his boys’ activities. Having played sports in high school and college, Shane coached his sons’ football and baseball teams.

Memorial services will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2015, at the First Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Scott Carlson officiating. The family has requests memorial contributions be made at RCB Bank, 11633 East 86th Street North, Owasso, OK 74055 by making checks to the “Shane Farley Memorial Fund.” Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
