On Sunday May 3, 2015 at approximately 12:45AM, Owasso Police responded to a report of a person struck by a vehicle in the northbound lane of Highway 169 near E 106 Street North. A 21 year old male victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Early findings suggest that the victim was a passenger in a different vehicle, which had been traveling north on HWY 169 and pulled onto the east shoulder. The victim reportedly exited the vehicle, attempted to cross the highway on foot when he was struck by a passing motorist, also traveling northbound on the highway. The driver of the vehicle which struck the victim is cooperating with police.
The identity of the victim is not being released at this time pending notification of his family.
