Cartooning/Illustration Workshop With Morgan Taylor

Morgan Taylor guides students through a step-by-step character-building project focused around his own work on the award-winning Gustafer Yellowgold DVD/CD series.

PAWS for Reading

Registered therapy dogs are excellent listeners. Kids ages 5-10 are invited to read their favorite books to a furry, four-pawed friend. Each reader will receive a free book provided by the Tulsa Library Trust. Registration is required and is limited to 10 participants. Call 918-549-7624 to register .

Steve Weeks Music

Steve Weeks, an XM Kids radio favorite, will perform hits from his popular “Alphabet Songs” CDs. The songs are upbeat, catchy tunes about things important to kids and their parents, such as courage, tolerance, pancakes, kangaroos, patience and, most of all, friends. For ages 5-12.

Vaudeville Magic Show With Chris Capstone

This old-fashioned magic show features antique magician’s props, period costumes and a fast-paced comedy magic style that will keep everyone amazed and in stitches. For ages 5-12.

Superhero Boot Camp

Calling all beginner superheroes! Join us for superhero training. Superheroes with knowledge will be provided on how to make their crime-fighting costume, where to put their secret lair, how to identify and defeat their nemesis, and more. Class size is limited to 15. For ages 10-15.

The Great Children’s Lego Build-Off Competition

Bring your Legos and assemble an original creation based on the theme “Every Hero has a Story.” You will have one hour to build from start to finish. Entries will be judged on creativity and interpretation of the theme. Top three winners will advance to the next round competing against children from other Tulsa City-County Library branches at an event on July 24. For grades 1-5. Registration is required.
