BrgwallByron Carl Bergwall was born January 13, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, to Eric Andrew and Violet Marie (Dahlin) Bergwall. He died Tuesday, July 21, 2015, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 70 years. Byron completed his secondary education in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and graduated with the Waukesha High School Class of 1963. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably with the United States Marine Corps. Byron continued his education attending Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa where he earned his A & P license. He was married June 21, 1969, in Owasso to Sue Mosley. After working in the airline industry for several years he owned and operated Byron’s Fine Jewelry in Owasso from 1981-1987. He and Sue made their home in Peoria, Arizona, for a few years where Byron operated Byron’s Service Center. Upon returning to Owasso, he began working with American Airlines in Tulsa as a mechanic and tooling specialist. He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Owasso. Byron enjoyed a variety of pastimes including traveling, working out, vintage cars, and watching FOX News. Despite being born in Chicago, after moving to Waukesha, WI he became a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers. He was a great storyteller and loved spending time talking to people. Most important was spending time with family and attending his grandchildren’s sporting events.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2015, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at First Baptist Church in Owasso with Pastor Chad Balthrop, Pastor Chris Wall, and Matthew Bergwall officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Matthew Bergwall, Melvin Spencer, Eric Scrimsher, Phil Clark, Mike Bland, and Kyle Bergwall. Committal services and interment will follow at Floral Haven Memorial Gardens in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service.
