Peter Frederick Campbell, Sr., resident of Owasso, passed from this life on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 in Rapid City, South Dakota at the age of 82 years.
He was born July 27, 1933 in Tuxedo, New York to Richard Frederick and Gladys (Brush) Campbell, Sr. Peter was raised and received his education in Orange County, NY. On January 26, 1957, he and Constance Olinski were united in marriage at Florida, NY. To this union four children were born. They made their home in New York until moving to Tulsa, OK in 1983, where he worked for the Ford Glass Plant until retirement. In 1986, they moved to the home they had built in Owasso. Peter was a veteran of United States Navy and a member of the UAW Local Union. Although spending time with family was always a priority, he also enjoyed bowling, camping and watching NASCAR races.
Those that will cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years Constance; children Kathleen Dougherty of Panama City, FL, Susie Neice of Asheville, NC, Karen Case and son-in-law Ricky also of Asheville and daughter-in-law Jessie Campbell, wife of son Peter Campbell, Jr who preceded his father in death. Also surviving are grandchildren John Robert Dougherty and wife Adele, Joey Dougherty, Brian Campbell and wife Jen, Ryan Case and wife Megan, Dale Neice, Kristen Case, Jeremy Yoder; five great grandchildren and two sisters Edna Stevens and Dorothy Voss and husband Donald all of Madison, FL. Besides his son, Peter was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Richard Campbell.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, August 17, 2015 in the Chapel of Mowery Funeral Service with Father Matt LaChance of St. Henry Catholic Church officiating.
