Robert Dean Bryan was born July 31, 1929, in Claremore, Oklahoma, to Arthur Leon and Ola Pauline (Wheeler) Bryan. He had two brothers and a sister. He died Wednesday morning, August 12, 2015, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 86 years. In 1952, he joined the apprentice program with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 584 in Tulsa. Bob was married April 13, 1956, in Vinita, Oklahoma, to Mary Margaret Livingston. They initially resided in Detroit, Michigan, where their first son, Robby was born. They moved back to Oklahoma, had their second son, Joe, and a daughter, Linda. They moved their family to Owasso in 1971. They were Catholic, belonged to St Pius, and St Henry’s Catholic Church and raised their children in the Catholic Church. He had his own business, Marlin Electric and later Bryan Electric. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes, watching his boys play football, baseball and wrestle. Participating in the quarter back club and he was an avid baseball supporter. He especially enjoyed fishing and Grand Lake. He traveled to the work for many years to Michigan, Indiana, and various other destinations. He loved his toys, whether it be a riding lawnmower, motorcycle, horse or fishing boat. For many years they took an annual trip to Branson with family and friends. He loved Willie Nelson, Reba McEntire and Johnny Cash to name a few. One of the last adventures Bob and Mary took was a cruise to Hawaii in 2007.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Bill, his sister, Shasta Lou Engler, and his son, Robert Dean Bryan, Jr.
Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 17, 2015 at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso. Committal services and interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa. The family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, 2227 East Skelly Drive, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74105, or the Alzheimer’s Association, 6465 South Yale, Suite 206, Tulsa, Oklahoma, 74136.
