AdamsLinda Kay Adams of Collinsville passed away Saturday, August 22, 2015 in Tulsa, OK at the age

of 72. She was born October 4, 1942 in Delaware, Ok to Roy & Sadie (Collins) Covey.

Linda is survived by one daughter Brenda Alexandres & husband Jim of Sperry, OK. One son Chris

Adams & wife Kerrie of San Antonio, TX. Four Grandchildren; DeAnn Bailey & husband Ryan,

Nicole Buss & husband Danny, Amber Blessing & husband Levi, and Collin Adams. Three Great

Grandchildren; Kayla, Eli, and Ryker. One Brother Bobby Joe Covey of Jenks, OK. Two Aunts;

Jawan and Donna. Numerous Nieces, Nephews and a host of friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Don, her Parents, and one Sister Charlene.

Linda attended Delaware schools and graduated from there in 1960. She enjoyed 4 years of

highschool basketball, and was voted basketball queen during her senior year. Her nickname

was Shorty, due to her 4’11” stature.

Linda had a few boyfriends during her high school years, but none compared to the Love of her

Life, Don Adams. She began writing Don while he served the Armed Services in Germany. They

became sweet on each other through their letter writing, then fell head over heels in love after

Don returned home from service. Don soon proposed to Linda while she was in the hospital

with a broken bone. They married on June 10, 1961 surrounded byclose friends and family.

Linda and Don began their married life in Bartlesville where their two children, Brenda and

Chris were born. They later moved to Collinsville in 1974 where they lived the remainder of

their lives.

Linda’s hobbies included camping, gardening, quilting, and spending time with family and

friends. She & Don enjoyed yearly trips to Denver, CO. They also enjoyed traveling around the

country with their 5th wheel and their little Yorkie, Smokey Joe. Linda also loved attending

family reunions at Oolagah Lake with both her family and Don’s, where they would enjoy

camping, boating, and fishing.

Her children were the love of her life. She supported them in all of their activities. From

Brenda on the flag team, to Chris playing football. Linda was always there.

Linda loved to cook, and try new receipes, but Chef-boy-Ardee pizza’s were a standby when the

children were little and Don was working late. Due to the green thumb and gardening skills,

Linda always had a bountiful harvest and plenty of canning each year. Linda also spent a lot of

time researching her geneology to pass along to her children and generations to come.

With Linda’s sister Charlene and husband Curly living only 2 miles away, the couples had many

wonderful double dates and enjoyed watching the children play together. Don and Linda loved

going dancing with other couples from high school, and friends made through Don’s time

working for Frontier Airlines.

In the mid 1980’s Linda was blessed to become a Grandma, and for several years was privileged

to love on 4 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.

We have so many wonderful memories of a person who lived a simple and beautiful life, and

who after 16 years apart can now dance again with her sweetheart in heaven. Today is not

“Goodbye”, but only “until we meet again”.
