John J. Evans was born June 10, 1949, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Lee Jay and Dorothy Lorene (Berry) Evans. He died Thursday, January 21, 2016, in Tulsa at the age of 66 years. John was reared and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the Tulsa McClain High School Class of 1967. He spent most of his working life as a security specialist and was the owner of Discreet Security Services. John enjoyed a variety of pastimes throughout his life. He had enjoyed drag racing motorcycles and was a fan of Harley Davidson’s. He also liked to play pool and spend time with his friends. He thoroughly enjoyed his role as Granpa John to his two granddaughters.

Nancy and Johnny Stout, of Sperry, Oklahoma
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Lee James Evans.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2016, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel in Owasso with Pastor Jim Cinocca officiating. Private family disposition will be held at a later date. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
