It has been almost 2 years since our first visit with Tammy Johnson. At that time she asked that we please not share information on their family plans to open a skating rink in Owasso until they were ready. We did not, and now they are ready.
Today, she popped in the office again, nervous as today was “signing day” for their new venture.
Wheels and Thrills Skating rink and gaming center should break ground, “hopefully in about 6 weeks,” Johnson said.
They hope to have it completed in late fall, or at least by the end of the year.
The new rink will be located on the northeast corner of 106th and Garnett.
