Karson
Visit Paint & Barrel in Owasso on March 26th at 7pm for a fun night out with a purpose. Paint and sip for a cure! The special painting you make will raise awareness and funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Karson (pictured) is 8-years-old and has CF. Since he was 7 weeks old and diagnosed with the disease, his family has participated in CFF fundraisers as a part of the fight for a cure. When you purchase a $35 ticket for this event, $10 of that purchase will go to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. In addition, you can bid on silent auction items throughout the evening. All proceeds of the silent auction will go to CFF.
Cystic Fibrosis is a fatal genetic disease effecting the lungs and digestive system. Most people who have the disease die before they reach 40. There is no cure, but great strides have been made in the last decade to treat the underlying causes of the disease. Those amazing medical discoveries have been made due to fundraisers like this one.
Since only 30,000 people in the United States have the disease, there is no federal funding for research for a cure. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation relies on private donations to fund research – and by participating in this event, you can be part of the fight for a cure!
