Denise Eileen Clairday was born November 7, 1964, in St. Louis, Missouri, to Jerome and Bobbie (Scrutchfield) Reeder. She died Tuesday, March 29, 2016, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 51 years. Denise moved to Owasso as a teenager with her family in 1979. She spent the last 16 years of her working career as a medical assistant. She was married July 8, 2009, at Garden City Beach, South Carolina, to David Clairday. Denise enjoyed a variety of pastimes including listening to music, relaxing outside, but especially spending time with her grandkids. She loved her dogs and was very active with animal rescue and fostering dogs.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Reeder.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 1, 2016, at God’s Shining Light Church in Tulsa with Pastor Davy Dyer officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Chris Ebey, Rondall Ebey, Tommy Ebey, Matt Reeder, Daniel Reeder, and David Reeder. Committal service and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Denise’s memory to Lab Rescue of Oklahoma, 2608 West Kenosha Avenue, Suite #434, Broken Arrow, OK 74012, or online at labrescueok.net.
