Former Owasso police officer Lt. Michael Denton, who was terminated twice after being accused of using excessive force while on duty is now scheduled to go to trial in Nowata County at 9:00am November 28th.
Denton was charged October 2, 2015 with assault and battery with a deadly weapon and reckless conduct with a firearm in the June 14, 2015 arrest of Cody Mathews . The incident was captured on police video from various agencies responding to the call.
