Annual event will commemorate nonprofit’s 40 years of championing change
TULSA, Okla. – This year marks Resonance Center for Women’s 40th anniversary as an ambassador of change in the Tulsa community. Stacked Deck, the nonprofit’s annual fundraiser, is set to commemorate the organization’s 40 years of supporting women and their families.
The fifth annual event will be held Friday, Oct. 6, at the Bond Event Center, located at 608 E. 3rd St. It will feature a birthday theme, with an evening full of fun, food and games to celebrate.
“We are very excited to be celebrating our 40th anniversary,” said Deidra Kirtley, executive director for Resonance Center for Women. “2017 marks a major milestone for us, our clients and for Tulsa. It’s a great time to reflect on how we have all worked together to create positive change.”
Resonance’s staff, board of directors and longtime friends of the organization will also be joined at this year’s Stacked Deck by a team of dedicated volunteers who’ve earned the elite title of 2017 ACES.
Resonance’s team of ACES have each committed to raising a minimum of $10,000 in funds and in-kind items to support Stacked Deck. The 2017 ACES were recently announced during a special event held in their honor at the Tulsa Press Club.
The 2017 ACES are Bob Curry, counsel, Conner & Winters; Nicole Watts, director of civil engineering, KKT Architects; Laura Law, executive vice president, Fiber Pad Inc.; Katie Mabrey, director of marketing, Mabrey Bank; and Bud Sartain, CPA, Hogan Taylor.
