Nora Aery was born September 2, 1917, in Keota, Oklahoma, to George and Verda Mayfield Williamson. She died Sunday, September 17, 2017, having reached the age of 100 years. Nora was married June 24, 1939, in Stigler, Oklahoma, to James Merritt “Jim” Aery. She spent most of her working life as homemaker caring for her family. She was faithful to her Lord and Savior, and had attended Rejoice Free Will Baptist Church in Owasso where she was active with the Prime Timers. She later was active at Skiatook Free Will Baptist Church in Skiatook, Oklahoma. Nora enjoyed a variety of pastimes including quilting, growing flowers, and working in her garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jim Aery, daughters, Verda Lou Aery and Eva Grace Aery, and brothers, Julius Williamson, and Wallace Williamson.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, at the Skiatook Free Will Baptist Church in Skiatook, Oklahoma, with Pastor Greg Aery officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Shaun Pingleton, Luke Sterling, Aaron Lamberson, Matthew Sterling, Nicolas Nail, Nathan Aery, Weston Lamberson, and Levi Potter. Committal service and interment will follow at Osage Gardens in Skiatook. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
