Paul Richard Pennington was born July 4, 1944, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, to Russell Reck and Mary Louise Grisez Pennington. He died Monday, December 4, 2017, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, at the age of 73 years. Paul was reared and educated in Tulsa and graduated with the Will Rogers High School Class of 1963. He served his country honorably with the United States Air Force. He spent most of his working life as a circulation zone manager with the Tulsa World. Paul was married June 21, 2003, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, to Ruslana Yroslavovna. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially his boys sporting events including wrestling and football. He was a proud supporter of Owasso Athletics, particularly the wrestling program. He enjoyed working in his yard landscaping and was an excellent craftsman and woodworking. He enjoyed tennis, loved boxing, and was an avid Elvis fan. He cherished his role as grandpa and spending time with his grandkids.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two grandchildren, Paul Pennington and Kristen Pennington.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 7, 2017, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2017, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Andrew Rankin and Rod Pennington officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Paul Kelley, Bill Kelley, Mike Howard, Dave Wing, Robert Burton, and Mike Moguin. Committal service and interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso.
