12/19/2017 – With current Owasso City Councilor Jeri Moberly withdrawing her name for a third term, recent newcomer to Owasso Kelly Lewis will be your new Ward 1 City Councilor, taking office in Spring of 2018. Moberly and Lewis were the only citizens signed up to run for Ward 1. Moberly will continue to serve out her term, through April of 2018.
 
Kelly is currently a Realtor® with RE/MAX Results in Owasso, serving the greater Tulsa metro area, and has been in the real estate industry since 2010. She relocated from Norman in 2015 where she served on the Public Relations Committee with the Norman Board of Realtors® from 2010 to 2012 and was employed by the Norman Board of Realtors® from 2012-2014, handling the Accounting and committee fundraising events. Kelly currently volunteers on the Community Relations Committee and the Sales Associates Network Committee, continuing work with local fundraising events with the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors®. Kelly is an active member of the Owasso Chamber of Commerce, serving as an Ambassador, is currently attending the Leadership Owasso class through the Owasso Chamber of Commerce, and serves on the Owasso Character Council. She served on the board of directors for the Cleveland County Red Cross, is an active volunteer with the Tulsa Boys Home and is a wish grantor with the Oklahoma Make a Wish Foundation. Prior to living in Oklahoma, Kelly also served as the Public Relations Director for the Main Street Mission, a non-profit organization working with the homeless, was active with the Bentonville, AR. Chamber of Commerce as an Ambassador, and owned an Accounting business servicing small locally owned businesses in Bentonville. Kelly holds a real estate license in Oklahoma and Arkansas, the National Association of Realtors® Graduate, Realtor® Institute (GRI) designation, the professional Certified Owner Representative (COR) designation, and is a member of the National Association of Realtors®, Oklahoma Association of Realtors®, and the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors®.
 
Originally from Russellville, AR., Kelly settled in Northwest Arkansas prior to moving to Oklahoma in 2008. Her daughters, Lorrin and Lindsay, reside in Bentonville, AR. with their families,and her son, Bryan is a junior at Owasso High School. She is married to Kevin Lewis, a Chief Inspector with the Federal Railroad Administration. They enjoy cycling, hiking, fishing, and, as natives of Arkansas, Razorback football. Kelly has a passion for giving back and loves the people of Owasso and the hometown feel and looks forward to contributing to its continued growth and success. “Owasso is a wonderful and exciting place to live and do business!” she said.
 
Current Ward 2 Vice Mayor Chris Kelley filed for his same spot, with resident Brian Cook running against him. The election will be held Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018.
