Helen Marie Carr was born August 4, 1923, in McLoud, Oklahoma, to Huston Henry and Sally Jeanetta (Smith) Beamer. She passed from this life Wednesday, December 27, 2017, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 94 years. Helen was raised and educated in Jones, Oklahoma and graduated with the Jones High School Class of 1941. She was married to Ralph Glenn Carr on December 13, 1947, in Rome, Georgia. She spent most of her working life as Beautician at her own shop on Main Street in Owasso. Helen was also a Rosie the Riveter and worked for McDonnell Douglas during World War II. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was promoted to the title of Worthy Matron. Helen was a longtime faithful member of the Baptist Tabernacle Church in Collinsville, and recently had attended Eastside Baptist Church in Collinsville. She enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as baking, cooking, and gardening, but most of all she loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Huston and Sally, husband, Ralph, three brothers, Marvin, Henry, and Luke, and 4 sisters, Estelle, Ruby, Eva Mae, and Juanita.
Visitation will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral Service will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Jim Carney.
