Clarence Jefferson Thompson was born November 26, 1924, in Henryetta, Oklahoma, to Albert Jefferson and Pauline Sallie Watts Thompson. He died Friday, December 29, 2017, in Edmond, Oklahoma, at the age of 93 years. Clarence was reared on a farm in Wann, Oklahoma, educated in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and was a graduate of Crooked Oak High School. He was a veteran of the armed forces having served his country honorably as a flight engineer and bombardier with the United States Air Force during World War II, completing 31 bombing missions over enemy territory. He was married June 12, 1948, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Edna Marie Hunter Thompson. They had made their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1954, before moving to Owasso, Oklahoma, in 1959. He spent much of his working life as a jet mechanic with American Airlines in Tulsa. He was a longtime faithful member of Rejoice Church in Owasso. Clarence enjoyed a variety of pastimes, especially spending time on the water fishing, boating, and skiing. The thing he loved most was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Step grandchildren; John Loffer and husband Phillip, Samantha Berry and husband Mike
Step great grandchildren; Graclynn Berry
And a host of nieces, nephews, and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Allene Battles.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2018, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 4, 2018, at the Mowery Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Leonard Pirtle officiating. Interment will follow at Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
