Matthew Stephens
03/13/2018 – An Owasso veteran suffering from stage four cancer was granted a vacation from Soldier’s Wish Foundation on Saturday.
Matt Stephens, his wife, Jenn, and their three boys were blessed with a relaxing beach vacation. Chad is a sophomore at the University of Arkansas, Max and Joey attended Rejoice Christian School.
Matt served in both the Navy and the Army. He did three tours in Iraq and one the the Philippines. After working through the symptoms associated with a TBI and PTSD, two years later Matt found out he has colon cancer. After years of treatment with little reprieve, the disease has progressed to stage four. He is currently seeking treatment at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Tulsa.
