Beatrice Knight was born August 28, 1928 in Turley, Oklahoma, to Charles and Goldie Higgins Durkee. She died Thursday, March 29, 2018, in Owasso, Oklahoma, at the age of 89 years. Bea completed her secondary education in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was married October 19, 1944, in Tulsa, to Charles Robert “C.R.” Knight. They had made their home in Owasso since 1975. She spent most of her working life as a personnel director with Zebco in Tulsa. She was a longtime faithful member of First Christian Church in Owasso. Bea enjoyed a variety of pastimes such as traveling each year with her husband to South Padre Island. They also enjoyed dancing, especially the Jitterbug. She always tried to take advantage of any opportunity to go shopping and she always left the house looking her best any time she was in the public.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, C.R. Knight, sisters, Rosalie Robinson and Christine Durkee, and brothers, Lonnie Durkee and Junior Durkee.
Funeral service was held Monday, April, 2, 2018, at Mowery Funeral Service in Owasso with Reverend Ben Killion officiating. Serving as casket bearers were Larry Nunley, Gary Nunley, Troy Knight, and Taj Alcozer. Final resting place was Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery in Owasso, Oklahoma. Arrangements and services were entrusted to Mowery Funeral Service of Owasso.
