Originally opened in 1978, the Yellow Balloon Preschool will close its doors after 40 years in May.
They would like to commemorate the occasion by having a reunion. All present and former teachers, children and parents are invited to come together to celebrate one other and the special place that brought you all together.
Yellow Balloon asks you come and share your memories as well as where life has taken you since.
The reunion will take place on Sunday, May 20, 2018. Come and go between 3-5pm at the Yellow Balloon Preschool classroom at Owasso First United Methodist Church, located at 13800 E 106th St North.
Yellow Balloon Preschool began in 1978 as a service to the community sponsored by the Owasso First United Methodist Church. The community at that time was in need of a developmental preschool and 2 ladies from the church were willing to create the preschool. Janice Gaines, was the Pastor’s wife, and Diane Loyd, a church member, developed the school using developmentally appropriate practices for Early Childhood education. After 40 wonderful years Yellow Balloon Preschool will be closing its doors at the end of the school year. The Owasso community now provides numerous preschool classes combined with daycare options to serve today’s families.
Official last day of school is May 17th.
Reunion is Sunday, May 20th, 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.
