police-300x10906/04/2018 – Deputy Chief of Police Jason Woodruff reports that on “Sunday June 3rd, 2018, at 8:30PM, Owasso Police responded to a welfare check at a residence in the Elm Creek Neighborhood near 8000 N 120 E AVE in Owasso.  Family members of the residents called authorities after being unable to contact the couple who lived at the house.

Owasso medics entered the house to check on the residents and found two deceased adults inside.  Initial observations indicated that the male and female in their 30’s appeared to have suffered gunshot wounds.

This investigation is in its very initial stages.  Once a search warrant is obtained, detectives will begin processing the scene, which will likely continue throughout the night.”

Though police have not officially labeled the incident as a murder suicide, they state they are not actively searching for any suspects at this time, nor do they have any evidence to suggest a known threat to resident in the area related to this incident.

The names of the victims are not being released pending notification of next of kin.
