10/13/2018 – The Owasso Choir Program has a long standing tradition of excellence! This is a program that you can take great pride in supporting!
The Owasso High School Choir is an award winning program! They compete each year at OSSAA State Contest and have earned multiple Sweepstakes Trophies and Accent Awards. They have performed extensively throughout the United States, including Chicago, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, St. Louis, Branson, Washington D.C. and two performances at Carnegie Hall in New York City and two cruise ships. They have a large amount students who have performed with NCDA District, OCDA All State Jazz, OkMEA Mixed and Women’s All State and Regional SWACDA and National ACDA honor choirs. Owasso High School students have received millions of dollars in music scholarships and gone on to pursue music education and music performance degrees in college. They are currently teaching and performing around the world.
The middle school choirs have consistently earned superior ratings at OSSAA contest gaining them multiple Outstanding Achievement Awards each year. They also compete in the Spring every year and have won multiple 1st place trophies at contests comprised of both middle and high school choirs. Many of the students in the 6th-8th grade choirs are chosen for Children’s All State, NCDA District, OCDA All State and even Regional SWACDA and National ACDA honor choirs. They have earned numerous individual superior ratings as well at OSSAA solo/ensemble contest.
