11/15/2018 – At approximately 6:30PM Thursday evening, Owasso police were dispatched to a violation of protective order call. In doing so, the suspect attempted to ram a police car, and a pursuit with the suspect ensued.
Officers chased the car southbound on 129th East Avenue to 66th Street North, then turning eastbound . The suspect continued east on 66th Street North, past 161st East Avenue, well inside the quarry until the roadway ended. He then bailed out of the car, leading officers on a foot pursuit through the rocks before he jumped into a pond. Officers jumped in the pond after him, wrestling him into custody.
Lt. Nick Boatman tells Owassoisms Cory Taylor Spargur, 28, of Collinsville was taken into custody and transported to the Tulsa County Jail.
His charges include:
- Eluding/endangering others
- Violation of protective order/afcf
- Assault with a deadly weapon on police officer
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Driving under suspension
- Failure to carry insurance
