On Saturday, August 31, 2019, Owasso Police were dispatched to the Sonic Drive-in on 86th Street North, in reference to a reckless driver who was attempting to flee from a collision.
When officers arrived the driver had left, but officers found the damaged pole that had been hit. Officers then located the suspect as she crashed her vehicle into a tree at the Daylight Donuts, just east of the first incident.
An investigation was conducted and the driver was believed to be intoxicated.
Arrested was Tonya Elaine Richards, 39 of Owasso. She was booked in the Tulsa County Jail on DUI 1st offense.
