Owasso announces information on the complimentary breakfast and lunch program.
March 21, 2020
Parents and Guardians,
Our state continues to pull together during a difficult time in Oklahoma. I am writing today to share meal options provided by our district for your students during the current state-mandated school closure. I am very grateful for the hard work being done by our Child Nutrition Team. They have worked with the State Department of Education and put this plan together over Spring Break to ensure that all of our students continue to have access to healthy and nourishing meals while school is closed.
Beginning on Monday, March 23, we will have a drive-through style, grab-and-go distribution of meals set up at the main entrance of the Owasso High School East Campus (across 86th Street from Pizza Hut). The drive-through will be available every weekday (Monday-Friday) from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Meals available for pick-up will be a sack lunch and a sack breakfast for the following day. These meals are available for any students age 18 and under and we ask that your students be present to receive the meals. In addition, we ask that you please stay in your vehicle and allow for the meals to be delivered to your car.
Times and availability may change due to demand and we will communicate any changes to you should they become necessary.
Thank you for your partnership. We are pleased to provide these meals for our families and want to say “thank you” again to our Child Nutrition Team.
