Virginia Anna Burton passed from this life to her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 in Tulsa. She was 78 years of age. Virginia was born November 8, 1941 in Chelsea, OK to Ralph Douglas and Frances Elizabeth (Dugan) Tankersley. She was raised in Chelsea, Inola and Tulsa, where she graduated from Will Rogers HS in 1959.
Those that survive and hold many precious memories are Tommy Burton; children – Tonja Orr and husband Randy of Owasso and Brandon Burton also of Owasso; and her grandchildren Taylor, Ryan, and Jayden. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Janet Tankersley.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, September 29, 2020 in the Chapel of Mowery Funeral Service with Pastor Matt Thomason of Owasso First Church officiating. Burial will follow at the Ridgelawn Cemetery, Collinsville. A visitation for Virginia will be Monday evening at Mowery Funeral Service, Owasso from 4pm to 8pm.
