Owasso Police Release of information:
01/18/2021 – On Friday, January 15 at approximately 4:50PM, Owasso Police responded a reported disturbance near 9000 N 100 E Ave.
Multiple residents in the neighborhood had reported that a man had been stealing and attempting to steal flags affixed to homes there earlier in the day. The flags were all flags of support for President Trump.
On at least one previous call earlier in the day officers were summoned however the suspect was gone prior to officers arrival. On this occasion however, the suspect had returned to the area and stolen at least one more of the flags. The homeowner had confronted the suspect as he was leaving the victims home and the suspect yelled profanities at the victim(s) for their support of our President. The suspect fled in a vehicle. The victim and another homeowner that had been affected by the same individual earlier in the day followed the suspect in their vehicles and blocked him in at a nearby cul-de-sac and called police.
Taken into custody was 70yo Geronimo Oosuna Cantu of Owasso. He was charged with Larceny and Disturbing the Peace.
