The online enrollment portal for new students will open Monday, April 5 at 8:00 a.m.

To enroll a student who is new to Owasso Public Schools or a previous student who is returning and was not attending our schools at the end of the 2020-2021 school year, complete the steps listed below.

Please note the following details regarding Pre-K:

    • Students must be 4 years of age on or before September 1, 2021.
    • Class size is limited with spots filled on a first-come, first-serve basis using your online submission date and time once we have received all the required documents.
    • Pre-K is a half-day program, Monday through Friday
    • Hours
      • Morning class hours are 9:00 – 11:30
      • Afternoon class hours are 1:00 – 3:30

Kindergarten is a full-day program open to all students who will be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2021.

STEP 1

If your student is in Pre-K through 5th grade, your home address determines which elementary school your child will attend. To verify your child’s elementary school, please enter your home address in the Address Lookup tool. When you know the name of the school, proceed to Step 2.

STEP 2

Gather the Required Enrollment Documents listed below. Scan or photograph all of the documents before you begin online enrollment so you can upload those files in Step 3. If you are not able to scan or photograph the documents, you can bring them to the Enrollment Center so we can make copies. Pre-K parents: Bringing documents to the Enrollment Center instead of uploading them will not change your place in line for a seat in a class.

Required Enrollment Documents:
Enrollment is not complete and a teacher or schedule cannot be assigned until we have ALL of the required documents. Enrollment Center staff cannot obtain these documents for you.
  1. One of the following: a signed lease, general warranty deed, annual property tax statement, monthly mortgage statement, or contract to build or purchase without contingency.

  2. A current full-page gas, water, or electric bill that shows the service address. This requirement will be waived if you submit the lease or deed to the Enrollment Center within 30 days of signing that document or if you have a signed contract to buy or build a home.

  3. If you are living with another family or individual, and your name is not on any of the residence documents, we need #1 and #2 above and a Temporary Resident Affidavit (print to complete).

  4. Birth Certificate. We must have an original state-certified birth certificate for Pre-K (age 4 on or before September 1 or Kindergarten (age 5 on or before September 1). For all other grades, a copy is acceptable.

  5. 9th -12th-grade students must have a transcript from the previous school. The school counselor will need to see the transcript before a class schedule can be set.

  6. Immunization records from a state health department, clinic, or doctor’s office. Please do not ask your doctor’s office to fax them to the Enrollment Center. You must provide this document. State of Oklahoma Immunization Requirements

  7. Guardianship or custody documents if applicable.

  8. CDIB and/or tribal membership cards if applicable.

  9. Parent or guardian’s driver’s license or government-issued photo ID. We do not use this document to verify your address.

STEP 3

Complete the online portion of enrollment and upload all of your documents before you click Submit. You will receive an email confirming the information has been received. If you need to use a computer in the Enrollment Center, please arrive with all the required documents between 7:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Select language to begin:

What happens next: You will get an email that your documents have been reviewed and enrollment is complete.

Pre-K: Students will get a place in line for class, using the submission date and time, after online enrollment is complete and we have all of the required documents. The Enrollment Center will send you an email with additional instructions, including how to request a specific class time, after we review your submission and all of the required documents. School counselors will send Pre-K class assignment emails by the end of May. If we reach capacity enrollment at your school (40 students), your child will remain on a waiting list and we will call you when an opening becomes available.

Kindergarten – 5th grade: Your child’s name and grade will be given to the Counselor for teacher assignments. You will learn this information in August.

6th – 12th grade: The “enrollment is complete” email referenced above will tell you how to contact the school counselor to choose core classes and electives for the 2021-2022 school year.
